I did not base my previous comments on the last few outings, not entirely. But I do believe the last few outings say something about his character and his ability to show on-field leadership.

This is a free country, and as a Cub fan, or as a GM-wannabe, which we all are, you have the right to regard Wood as an untouchable, and to give him all the room you want to wait for him to perform to the numbers that will soon be appearing on his paycheck. I also have the right to give up on him, and for the right deal, for either Blaylock, Texiera, or A-Rod, I would.
